About the project

Thomas (Jonathan Zaccaï), a reserved man, is on his way home after a three-month stay in Quebec. Mary Ann (Evelyne Brochu) feels trapped in the monotony of her life. She has two children and an absent husband (following bouts of domestic violence). On the road, near an Indigenous community, Thomas discovers the body of a 13-year-old Indigenous boy who was struck by a hit-and-run driver. Thomas commits himself to finding the culprit. But the investigation he undertakes will raise many suspicions and lead Thomas and Mary Ann to confront their own painful pasts.
