About the project

L’heure bleue evokes the hope of resilience in a couple confronted with the irreparable and caught in a storm that will completely change the course of their lives. Anne-Sophie chooses to completely transform her life. Everything falls apart: where she lives, her financial situation, her romantic and sexual life, her job, her lifestyle—everything. Who hasn’t dreamed, even for a moment, of leaving everything behind to start over somewhere else, in a different way? For Anne-Sophie, this fantasy becomes a necessity. Bernard, for his part, chooses the opposite path: he will hold the fort and try to maintain his balance and his routine. He has a house, a thriving business, a sixteen-year-old daughter, and a thousand responsibilities. When hardship strikes, you clench your fists and face it head-on. But that comes at a high cost. One risks hardening oneself to an extreme.
