La dérape tells the story of Julia, who returns to Quebec following a tragic event after spending ten years in the United States. In search of balance, the teenager turns to her passion for karting, but she must show courage and determination to find her place and deal with the rivalry among the drivers on her new team, BRR. While Julia feels at home on the track, she struggles to find her footing socially. But with the support of Émilie, her friend and next-door neighbor, she manages to get through the difficulties—and may even find love.
